Browser bookmarks portrait mode x-button too close to address text? [answered]

tldr; The fix is in: this one is fixed.
Perhaps I need to learn different interaction habits, but perhaps 50% of the time I accidentally close the native browser tab I am using because I try to put the cursor at the end of the line to remove some text at the end of the address.
Please vote if it has happened to you or if you sympathise with big, clumsy fingered users.
Maybe the close button could be moved away from the end of the line. How about on the edge of the screen like the navigation light has been since the latest released upgrade?
I was going to type a "what are you talking about" post, but then I tried it in portrait and must admit that you may have a point. I just never use the browser in portrait.
pichlo ( 2015-01-15 22:53:55 +0300 )editYou're probably right that it is too close, but the workaround is too easy to do for me to care: Bring your finger to the middle of the address, then tap-tap-drag to the end.

@drcouzelis: that mostly works, but not when only the last few characters need changing, where the workaround is to make, then edit, the URL as a bookmark. In the bookmark GUI it is harder to tap

rastakajakwanna ( 2015-01-16 00:40:43 +0300 )editYes I agree. I have closed a tab accidentally couple of times, but being careful accidents can be mostly avoided. This is similar "hit or miss" place like the send button in SMS.
