Hi,

has anyone else seen this before:

Whenever I want to jump straight to the multitasking view (by double clicking the power switch ) with my device lock being active, I am able to see the multitasking view with active apps for roughly a second. Afterwards, the device lock pops up.

Possibly a bug?

Greetings, Laubblaeser

When I double-press power key when the phobe is locked,,I always see only the lock-code enter screen, nothing else before the phone gets unlocked (after that the Home screen appears normally). No idea how could it be possible to end up to Home screen by double-pressing power+key w/o seeing first the lock-code screen?

This feature was introduced in the last update, if i remember correctly.

Double clicking the power button when phone is in use --> puts phone in standby and activates device lock.

Double clicking the power button when phone is not in use --> puts phone directly to the multitasking view, but asks for the device lock code first, if one is set and active (e.g. by set timer).

Edit: Sorry, misunderstood your comment. Leaving my original comment for documentation purpose. I really don't know how this is possible, that's why I'm asking here on together.

You should describe more precisely the conditions for this possible bug. I've never seen it in 1.1.1.27 that's why I commented.

Can't reproduce this either, always goes to lock code entry view, without going through home-screen.

Wondering, do you have patches, lockscreen-weather, quickbar etc installed?

Nope, none of those. Plain Sailfish OS at 1.1.1.27.

I can't knowingly reproduce this bug as well and already tried a lot of things like forcing lock by double click on power button, setting timed lock to immediate or simply locking the phone when being in some kind of app (message, browser, etc). Without knowing for sure, this issue seems to happen whenever I've turned off the display and the device lock gets active by the set timer (set to 10 minutes in my case). But I can tell for sure, that this has not just happened once or twice, but something like two times every day.

Next time I see this, I will try to immediately tap on one of the active covers, to see if the homescreen does accept touch input or if I'm even able to open an app.

Edit: Could this be because the device lock numpad is put on top of the homescreen (like an overlay) ? Perhaps the lockscreen can't be build up fast enough after some time of "rest" (e.g. after the phone wasn't used for a few minutes).

If the device suspends before device lock timeout, the device locking can get delayed until the next time the display is turned on -> homescreen can show up briefly, or even app screen if display was blanked via timers and grace period has not yet expired.

Filed internal bug ticket for this.
