Disable People app cover animation

Here comes a request to disable avatar animation on the cover of People app. When the phone is charging and the People app is minimized, the never ending animation is quite distracting. Could there be an option in app Settings to disable it?
Just now I am developing an app for Jolla, and I had to kill People app, as it was dragging my attention from coding.
IMHO there is no added value in the animation itself.
IMHO that animation is of great value -people who know Android and iOS have not seen anything like it. So it is an attention-grabber to spread the word of what a great telephone you have. It is just eye-candy, but eye-candy attracts potential customers. I am not against an option to disable the animation, but I certainly would put it very low on the priority list as you can close the application if the animation becomes a real problem for your focus.

in last update 1.1.7.28 people coverpage missing names, and only blank boxes mixed with avatars are show
not everybody (mostly in bussines contact book) wants to see some ugly faces there instead clear text names.
also, if you chose to not use real photos but some icons, you have to remember who is who, becouse it doesnt show name anywhere in favorite list. so just nothing telling buch of icons....
i prefer text over icon anyway and yes animation is distractin. it would be nice to get just People app icon there, without any movement
