Any LED in an dark room is too much and it is quite a annoying thing if you try to sleep. I have to turn my phone onto its face so the light does not show. But when I do, I can't easily see what time it is.

in my opinion, the LED for charging the phone should be able to be disabled in the settings.

IMO HTC have the absolute best LED implementation. It's a very subtle LED behind the speaker grille. It goes from amber to green when fully charged, both colours are non disturbing in a dark bedroom.

So far, most other phones we've had are plain stupid in this regard. Samsung and Apple light the screen, which lights the whole room. Jolla's white light (too bright for the bedroom anyway) starts blinking when it's fully charged.

The result is indeed that I turn my phone around at night. And so, the nice new 'flip to snooze' function is quite useless...

Unfortunately, the solutions that require me to go into shell/terminal are not really an option for me as a non technical person.
