Hello all,

I see that there have been questions about Zoho before but none of them seem to apply to me. Below is a sample log of an SMTP session with Zoho (for privacy I have replace my real email address with 'censored' but the original log showed by correct email address, and my IP with '<my ip="">'). What is notable is that the Jolla email client does not attempt to authenticate with the SMTP server before sending the email - thus no surprise that the server complains. Any suggestions or work-arounds?</my>

@avidscavenger - Could you post the entire log or send it to mail-logs at jolla dot com ? Did you change the account settings using the command line ? by the lines above seems that no authentication for smtp is selected, check accounts settings, it should be password in this case.

@VDVsx Thanks for your reply. Please excuse me, that was my mistake - the log file was generated when no authentication was selected. Below is a full log file with password authentication selected. Looks to me like the mail client is attempting encrypted password authentication, but I promise I have checked this time and the account setting says 'password'.

Darn. I just migrated my email to Zoho and ran into the same problem. Should have checked TJC before doing that I guess... :)

Edit: Got my Zoho account working on my Jolla with Activesync, just had to enable it first in the Zoho control panel. I think this is an all right solution for me.

I have the very same issue with zoho.com. The very same issue with another provider work related... Imap works smtp fails to authenticate... gmail works like a charm...

I've been in touch with technical people at Zoho, who recognise that there is a problem. Whether and when they will fix it is another question.
