i would really like to see if apps are open source, so it would be nice to have a standard there. lots of apps say they are open source and even have links to their homepage or github, but i would like to filter those apps too. so what im saying is i want to have a filter so i only see open source apps and i want to see which license is used.

also, surely there will be payed apps support on the store at some point, so in addition to my first request it would be nice to have some sort of verification. so that open source devs can put their app on the store to buy or for free. but this would require that the store account for the app is actually connected to the repo, because everybody can just publish an open source app.

anyway, all i want is to pay/gift some money to nice and well done open source apps easily through the store :)

what do you guys think?

update no filters for licenses / license info added as of release of SFOSv2.0.0.10

Agreed. As supply grows, it needs to be better specifiable.

What about having a field stating which license the app is under and being able to filter by license?

I'd also like to have somewhere were you can enter what has been added in app updates. It's possible this exists and no developers (of the apps I'm using) are using it, but if not, please add :)

I strongly support this! I support Jolla beside others because of privacy and security concerns. So I have the same request towards the offered apps.

Related? Looks like this thread is a duplicate of that one

well the other thread doesnt ask for filters...

@misc11, having filters is a minor derivative of the previous request. The idea (highlighting open source apps) is the same.
