[bug] email not auto-updating anymore [duplicate]

it happened to me twice now that after a while my email stopped auto-updating. i can still go "email" and "update" but its not doing it on its own. in settings > account > my_email > sync emails there is no schedule displayed anymore, when trying to select a new update interval, i cant. the options are shown but i can select them, only go back.
i have to delete the account and set it up again in order to make it work again.
i suspect a connection to gui crashes (the ones that reorder your apps in the launcher and let the folders disappear) but im not sure.
please comment if some had the same thing happening. also if further information is needed - like logs - please tell me where to find them and i will post!
