Future of google and facebook instant messaging

Today I heard rumor that google is going turn off gtalk, so since the 16th February only valid instant messaging system from the google will be Hangouts. Is it really true that we won't be able to use those, i believe most popular, instant messaging systems without third party apps?
Update:Here appeared some questions about instant messaging regarding Sailfisch OS 2.0. I will quote one most general of them hoping that Jolla will eventually anser:
