Hi folks, is there a possibility that the native Sailfish / Jolla email client receives mails via push function from e.g. Gmail?

I only found the possibility to setup a periodical email scan from my Gmail account.

Hi @AlexE, and welcome to TJC. This has been already requested at and it's actually roadmapped for the next Sailfish OS update already, so should be usable quite soon. Anyway, closing this as a duplicate, keep up contributing, please always search first.

@lakutalo - duplicates shouldn't be closed as answered, even that the answer has the correct link. I've now reopened and closed again.

The original request is this on TJC.

I can confirm that the configuration via command line works for both gmail and custom (using dovecot) mail boxes. However, if you feel uncomfortable using the command line, wait for one of the next updates where they promised to ship this feature in a user-friendly way.
