Suggestion: use swipe left/right inside browser [duplicate]

Hi there,
to me it feels almost natural to swipe left/right (from the middle) to get back and forward to previously opened webpages. So far you have to scroll up, wait for the button bar and tap the left or right arrow. What are your thoughts?
If zoomed in, how to pan the page in horizontal direction if swipes are assigned to "back" and "forward"? Would it be too difficult to navigate inside a page? Or did I understood your idea wrong?
