I am reading a large PDF with multiple 100 pages but no directory.

How am I supposed to jump to a specific page.

PS: unsure if this applies to other docs as well, please add more tags if appropriate

And an option to reopen document at the last page shown!

I've proposed a toolbar where the page position is shown that can be tapped to select a page by its number, what do you think ? https://together.jolla.com/question/90317/help-improve-document-application/

You can jump to specific page by tapping document to open top menu and swipe to page on the right. Granted that not very discoverable UI.

The right side is only filled when the PDF has a table of contents. Otherwise, nothing is displayed there (on 1.1.7.28 - other behavior on 1.1.9?) The right side could be expanded a bit ;-)

The patch I've proposed, has an input field to enter directly the page number one wants to jump to. This has been merged recently in the master branch of sailfish-office. I don't know when this will be released officialy though.

There is an open source (GPL) android app, which works well on the Jolla phone:

https://github.com/dschuermann/document-viewer

The application is slim and quite comfortable and you also can set bookmarks. It provides the feature to navigate quickly to any page number. It also automatically opens previously read documents on the page where you left it last time. Can be used like an e-book reader for pdf. No disturbing options like Dropbox synchronisation, ... .

This is not the solution.

Not a solution, but worth checking how it's done there - A similar feature on Sailfish Documents app would be awesome. Thanks for sharing!
