Does any one know how to get Jolla to be recognized by PS3 as valid USB device for storing files between Jolla and PS3?
For media files such as pictures, videos and music the media server connection via WLAN would great - Is it possible?

I don't think that you are going to be able to do this. At least not until you can write to the SD card and can choose where media files are stored on the Jolla.
The PS3 expects USBs to conform to a particular folder structure to enable their contents to be read. These are explained at http://ps3explained.com/advanced/folder-structure/
In essence you need the media stored in folders named Music, Picture and Video.
Since the Jolla folder structure doesn't place folders with these names at the top of the file structure the PS3 won't be able to recognise the files on your Jolla. You'll need to first transfer the files to a suitably configured USB drive and then attach that to your PS3.
Well, it could be possible to set up a USB service that exposes exactly that folder structure to the PS3 regardless of how the Jolla organizes data. There just needs a mapping to be defined.

I think, the Jolla only offers PTP and MTP over USB. I am not sure, the PS3 supports either of those. The Jolla is not exposing its storage as a generic USB mass storage device as the N900 did, unfortunately.
