Hi, Jolla, thank you for your frequent software updates. It's glad to see that you had fixed the problem of missing HK style chars in the IM (https://together.jolla.com/question/52361/missing-many-hong-kong-style-chars-in-default-input-method/) in 1.1.1.27. The characters are used in Cantonese. Not only HongKong people use Cantonese, but also some places in Mainland China, where people use Simplified Chinese. However, it's impossible to type these chars in Simp. Chinese IM. Will Jolla improve the IM in the future?

I feel the same! Most standard simplified Chinese input in phones include those characters, without them, the ability of typing in Cantonese could be heavily impaired. I would suggest two ways for Jolla to fix it, either adding them as new characters, or allowing Pinyin input method to type out the correspondent traditional Chinese characters. The latter, in my perspective, is a better way to do it.

@R.Canton It would be glad to see the characters added to both Pinyin and Stroke IM. By the way , I am confused about why someone downvoted this topic .

Maybe Jolla can expand the database with more Cantonese Characters for both Pinyin and Stroke input methods.
