Hi everyone,

Today I installed update 11, first I charged my Jolla phone to at least 75% to be sure that I have enough battery power before I perform the update. The update was successfully installed and I let the Jolla phone charging to 100% Now, 4 hours later, it's already on 75% even with WLAN off and no apps in the background, only 2G/3G/4G is on (no data).

Can somebody help me?

Regards, Dylan Van Assche

Do you have Android-Support installed? Some Android applications with backgroud processes cause regularly high cpu load, which may be a reason for a larger battery drain. I stop Android subsystem using Settings -> System -> Utilities when I don't need Android applications. I noticed when Android is stopped the battery lasts much longer.

I have it installed. I always kill the Android apps from running in the background.

In the first hours after the update, I also had a heavy battery drain. However, now it apparently has settled to a more modest drain similar to the drain before the update. Again, I get about 2 days from a charge (with modest use, app. 2 to 3 hours a day)

So maybe, Sailfish is somehow "busy" in the first hours after the update

Well, you're right! Now the battery drain is again normal :) Thank you all!

Yes, I know I can measure the battery drain with apps like Lighthouse, but it happened without any apps running in the background, just after update 11.

Even if you don't have apps running there is something eating resources. You can try to find out what is happening in your Jolla phone using tools like top and powertop in Terminal app.
