Calddav seems to work nicely for me. Carddav on the other hand seems not to make any attempt to connect. For caldav I can see all access in the log files of my server, in the case of carddav there is nothing. Not a single request to the server is made, no matter what server address and/or path is selected.

Is there something which I could try to give this more of a nudge then just the sync command, which does not complain and seems to do nothing?

That there is no connection attempt for carddav accounts is also corroborated by the fact that it does not care if the entered password is valid or not. In the case of caldav a notification pops up to update the account.

The behaviour was unchanged by todays update. Any ideas how to poke this more?

There was previously a bug in the account creation code causing any single Online Sync account which had both CalDAV and CardDAV enabled for it, to have ONLY CalDAV enabled.

The workaround is to create two separate accounts (one with CalDAV enabled, the other with CardDAV enabled).

The next update has fixed this issue, but unfortunately I believe the fix didn't make the deadline for the most recent update (you can try by deleting and recreating the account, but I believe that the fix didn't make it in time, unfortunately).

Kind regards, Chris Adams.

Also, the carddav plugin doesn't respect the user's ignore_ssl_errors setting - a bug which will be fixed shortly, see https://github.com/nemomobile/buteo-sync-plugin-carddav/pull/12

Of course I checked, but the issues I found in the last days are only in as much the same as the effect is the same, i.e. that there is a problem. The source of the problem(s) seems to be different. E.g., the reports that it is possible to rewrite requests to get it working as indicated in, for instance https://together.jolla.com/question/60493/new-carddavcaldav-support-got-to-it-working-with-owncloud/, is only feasible if connection attempt are made.

But perhaps I missed something vital, in this case it would be much appreciated if you could provide direct pointers. Thank you in advance.
