I need to send my new phone back to Jolla, so I need to back it up first. Looking into the various options open to me, I found the official documentation at https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201804906-How-do-I-make-a-backup-and-restore-it-

...but I note:

Note: NOT the attachments (ie. media files) of MMS messages

Any particular reason why not? Surely that's trivial to add as the files are just in /home/nemo/.local/share/commhistory/data ?

I obviously can do so manually, but it just seems a strange omission, and one extremely likely to annoy your users.

This functionality is waiting to be implemented. It's in the queue, but no ETA yet, sorry.

Any update on this? I'm still doing the extra steps required manually and it's a real pain in the neck. This could be a really quick win, IMHO.

So...just restored a backup to migrate from my old J1 to my new Xperia. Disappointing performance, Jolla. Disappointing. Given how simple the change is you still haven't spent the tiny amount of time on this almost 3 years later? :/
