when i start phone app i see the list of recent and need to use pulley menue to enter number or select contact. wish 1) i would like to have contacts as default rather then the recent list. could be a setting wish 2) after using pulley to select i.e. enter number, but from here i need to swipe to get back a pulley showing select contact would be a noce short cut. same vice versa

Alternate suggestion:

  • make recent calls and contact list adjacent pages in the Phone app, so you can switch between them with a left/right flick – no need to use pulley menu
  • create a pull-up dialpad, partly visible in the bottom of the screen on both pages, that you can flick up to dial a number and flick back down to hide
  • make user settings to select which view is shown on startup (recents or contacts) and whether the dialpad is up or down.

(There's also an earlier question requesting changes to Phone app's initial view, though it's not asking exactly the same thing.)

Regarding wish #1: If you want to see contacts first you could start people app instead of phone app.
