I try to figure out what the mail application is doing in background. A I think we maybe need a new UI I want to know what services the App triggers. I was looking at the log using journalctl. Everytime I sync my accounts I see log line:

Mar 15 14:43:29 Jolla dbus-daemon[847]: Activating service name='com.google.code.AccountsSSO.SingleSignOn'
Mar 15 14:43:29 Jolla [22266]: signondaemon.cpp 360 init Failed to SUID root. Secure storage will not be available.
Mar 15 14:43:29 Jolla dbus-daemon[847]: Successfully activated service 'com.google.code.AccountsSSO.SingleSignOn'

I do not use Google Accounts anywhere. Neither Gmail nor Youtube or the like. Does anybody know what this is good for?

That is merely a reference to the Accounts&SSO project (originally from Nokia, licensed under LGPLv2.1, and now developed predominantly by Canonical) which is hosted on the Google Code repository (although, it will soon migrate to either GitLab or GitHub due to Google shutting down Google Code). No data or credentials are sent to Google (or anyone else) when using that framework on the device.

You can see information about that project here: http://code.google.com/p/accounts-sso/ It is the accounts framework which is used in Sailfish OS.
