Backspace adds gibberish words. [duplicate]
When typing on my android tablet, using the backspace key makes it "autocorrect" partial words or just complete gibberish. It seems to get worse the more I type. I turned off all autocorrect and predictive text features. Typing large paragraphs becomes almost impossible since one mistake on the tiny keyboard leads to tons of attempting to delete and retype much of it, as deleting one word will affect the word in front of it. For example, if I type this sentence and spell sentence wrong, backspacing through the word will change it to all sorts of things and once I backspace through the space, the word "this" in front will change, usually to something that is not a word. Thanks a lot.
Hi, it seems your bug has just been reported a couple of questions earlier https://together.jolla.com/question/73661/bug-android-backspace-key-inserts-new-characters-in-text-fields/

I did not have any experience with android until recently, but this inability to type efficiently is making me want to return the tablet. Is there an update or something to fix it?

lakutalo ( 2015-03-15 21:24:38 +0200 )editSo this is a bug within the android operating system? I do not have this issue with my android phone. Both the phone and tablet are new to me and I'm not very familiar with modern technology. Is there another operating system I can use?
