I do synchronise three accounts on my jolla. One POP, one IMAP and a exchnage account. The exchange account works fine. On 2G up to 4G connections or WLAN there is no problem.

The other two stop working from time to time. I can get them to work again, when i switch off mobile data and log into a WLAN, or if i change the nework from 4G to 3G service.

After that the a accounts start syncing again without changing any network settings until one sync fails again. Then i'll have to change the settings again.

Any idea what the cause of this strange behavior is?

@Jmf - is this for automatic sync or manual sync ? do you see some errors in the UI ? What are the email providers for the IMAP and POP account ?

automatic or manual doesn't matter. The behavior is the same. There are no errors in the UI.

POP is an telco provider and IMAP is yahoo.

@Jmf - Humm, if there are not errors, what makes you think sync fails ?

Ah yess there is a massage, telling that mail app is unable to sychronize the mail accounts. I didn't consider this beeing an error massage. As it pops up when the phone has actually no connection. But in the case mentioned it has a connection. The exchange account is sychronized properly.

If i'am logged on my computer the mails are properly synchronized, that is why i can tell that the accounts aren't sychronized.

Wierd is the behavior when i use the jolla as WLAN acess point. On my computer's mail app the accounts are synchronized. But the phone itself is constantly telling me that it's unable to do the same.

@Jmf - Could you start email app from the command line when in this case and then catch the output there ? First do:

devel-su -p // to get permissions

While trying that i ran into this problem https://together.jolla.com/question/51128/mobile-data-switcher-grey-out/.

Cured it by deleting all files and dirs in /ofono. Now i cannot reproduce the behavior, seems like this was linked to the configuration stored under /ofono
