If the WLan tab in the Settings app is open while you change your ambiance, the color of the wlan icon that is connected will not change. Added some screenshots for presenting this bug.

What I did:

  • changed to green ambiance
  • opened the WLAN tab in the Settings app
  • minimize Settings
  • changed the ambiance to a red one
  • go back to Settings
  • WLAN icon is still green
  • reconnecting makes the icon red as expected

After ambiance change After reconnecting

yeah, but in this instance, the actually connected network is colored by the ambiance, but the icon only changes to ambiance colors after you reenter the WLAN section of the settings app, but the writing (name of the network) is recolored as soon as the ambiance is changed.

So it's an inconsistency.

true but it's an animated icon which also serves as a signal strength indicator and only refreshes on re-entering the page (whereas the writing is part of a static page/ menu layout and simply adapts to a global change with the rest of them). so in terms of consistency it kind of makes sense to not update the icon's colour as long as it's still displaying non-updated signal strength.
