Hi everyone,

I wanted to move my music collection from root to my sd card. I downloaded File Browser from the Jolla Store and tried to move the files. However, I can't past them in the Music folder on the SD card. If I paste it in another folder or in the root of the SD card it works fine. The permissions are the same for all the folder on the SD-card.

If a song is placed in the root of the SD card and I try to use the native Media app I get as song time 0:00 and I can't play it.

Is that folder then corrupt?

hi, had the same problem but i only couldn't copy whole folders. So i created the same folders on SD-Card and then moved (copied) the files (the titles) to the newly created folders and deleted them from phone. I know it is just a workaround. But since i have just 10 folders it was not too much "work". Greetings

Are you sure about the permissions?

Try this:

Open the terminal(make sure you have already turn on the developer mode)

do the follow:

[nemo@Jolla ~] $ devel-su
Password:
[root@Jolla nemo]# cd /media/sdcard/<UUID>    # replace the <UUID> to what you see under /media/sdcard/
[root@Jolla <UUID>]# chmod -R 777 ./

Then do the copy again.

If this still not work, maybe you need to check the read/write of the folder on a computer

Sorry for my late respons, I was on a holiday... Euhm I tried your thing out I can copy now my music into a folder on the SD card but the media app still shows: song length = 0:00 And I can't play the song in the native media app...

It was a faulty SD card, I took another one and it works like a charm!
