the button to switch the tab is in the lower left corner of the screen. for right-handed use this button is a bit hard to reach. and since this is (at least for me) the most used button in the browser gui, i think that button should be placed more the the right (at least for right handed use - there should def be a switch for left-handed use).

i know this is not a major thing, but it has to be said ;)

sfos v1.1.2.16

edit: its still the same in SFOS v2.1.2.3 - feel free to comment if you agree or not... to me this is bad for one-handed use...

I have played around with the browser's QML-files a little bit so when I saw this question I thought I'll just do a work-around for now since switching the tab and menu buttons places is not a huge deal. But I'm not a programmer or developer and I don't want to go too deep in to this, so I'll just give a link for the files to those like you who wants this option (no installer). Also this means I will not update it if some future SFOS update breaks the patch. I tested it with Xperia X SFOS 2.1.3.5 and I guess it works ok.

You need to install Patchmanager 2.0 from openrepos first.

Put the unified_diff.patch and patch.json files in /usr/share/patchmanager/patches/browser_menu_tab_switch (make this folder or name it whatever) and apply the patch in Patchmanager in the Settings app.

Enjoy right hand-sided tab-button.

edit. I should mention that for my inspiration for modifying the browser comes from cornerman's great swipe patch (https://github.com/cornerman/sailfishos-patch-browser-history-swipes). I made my small patch with this as a template since I'm an amateur at this and I dont have all the tools or knowledge to make it from scratch.

@Markkyboy or @Edz made a nice patch for this on openrepos.

after testing it for some weeks, i realised i prefer the standard way, so i will close this thread.
