Static Tethering IP

Every time I turn on my Jolla's hotspot feature I get another local IP adress, it's always 192.168.x.1 to access my Jolla with SFTP, the problem is I always have to look up what number x is, it randomly changes in the range of 0 to 6. Is there any way to force it to always be for example 0 so I could set a favourite in my FTP program and wouldn't have to look it up every time?

Good news.. this got implented already before your request. :)

Starting from the next update the tethering will always try to use "static" subnet 172.28.172.0/24 and in case it is already in use the connman will fallback to 172.28.173.0/24... and so on.

hi @tigeli, is also possible to set a different subnet for bluetooth tethering? My car system requires bluetooth tethering to get road traffic data, while I need wifi tethering for tablet and other devices.

I see that eventually tethering breaks and only setting flight mode restores the connectivity. My guess is that jolla hangs because there are two bridges from the same subnet to the mobile data interface.

thank you
