just two minor suggestions

  1. the option “VKB layout...” in fingerterm should be renamed to remove the elipses i.e. “VKB layout”

  2. is there a way to make fingerterm not vibrate when typing while the phone is set to silent and 'vibrate only when silent' ? would be great if the vibrate only when silent does not apply to typing in fingerterm. perhaps give fingerterm a separate configurable option for this?

Hi @droll, for your minor suggestions, please tag your post as Feature Request.

I'm not sure how to answer suggestion 1, so I'll move on to number 2.

Using a file browser, navigate to /.config/Finger Term and look for settings.ini - this is the file to edit.

Scroll down the settings.ini list to [ui] and the line to change is KeyPressFeedback=true - change true to false; save the changes from save on the pulley menu, open terminal and vibration feedback should be gone. I've just done this using FileTug, so I know this works.

In the folder that contains settings.ini are also the keyboard .layout files, which might hold a clue/answer to suggestion number 1.

Reviving an old post, just for the record: It has to be keyPressFeedback=false with a lower case key.
