I am currently experiencing an issue with the unauthenticated proxy server on my works Wlan.

I configure the http proxy manually, and the config appears in connmanctl fine, however the Wifi icon turns into an exclamation mark after the internet checker times out.

The Jolla-Browser can access the internet fine as far as I can tell so the proxy settings work (jolla-browser stops working if proxy settings are removed).

How does the connection checker test the connection? That way I can figure out if its the proxy blocking it or something misconfigured on the phone

I'd be interested to know, as I used to have this issue, that would block auto email checking.

Most Jolla tools don't respect the proxy settings (the browser is one of the few that do), this probably causes the behavior you are seeing.

There are several open questions about respecting proxy settings, my original one I think is considered the 'main' one so please upvote and add comments there:
