2G channel downgrade attack Vulnerability [duplicate]

There is a know Stingray/imsi catcher attack witch forces you phone to go on 2G without you noticing it. It is known that 2G is terribly insecure an can be easier cracked compared to 3G,4G. Rendering you call/data vulnerable to very low tech interceptors. Now the only option available in the Jolla phone are: Preferred 4G, Preferred 3g, 2G only

The FIX would be to introduce in Sailfish 2.0 aditional options: 3G only, 4G only option in order to be able to prevent this attack

I guess this is not really OS related but to baseband firmware.

@bonanza this is exactly OS related. BB supports all the modes and all their combinations, it is just the matter of setting the desired RAT.
