2G channel downgrade attack Vulnerability [duplicate]
There is a know Stingray/imsi catcher attack witch forces you phone to go on 2G without you noticing it. It is known that 2G is terribly insecure an can be easier cracked compared to 3G,4G. Rendering you call/data vulnerable to very low tech interceptors. Now the only option available in the Jolla phone are: Preferred 4G, Preferred 3g, 2G only
The FIX would be to introduce in Sailfish 2.0 aditional options: 3G only, 4G only option in order to be able to prevent this attack
More like feature-request than a bug...

bomo ( 2015-04-18 11:30:36 +0200 )edit@bonanza this is exactly OS related. BB supports all the modes and all their combinations, it is just the matter of setting the desired RAT.
