Hi,
I tried to disable all sound notifications for calls, chats, calender events and all the other stuff. Status within the settings: "no sound".
Well, my Jolla does not seem to care and still plays all the unwanted sound clips. Also restartet the phone - no effect.
Maybe it's connected to my black TOH? I am curious. :)

There's a setting "silent mode" above lock screen (pulley menu) and in the settings > system > look and feel. This should silence everything.
On Jolla, there are four different places where the sound volumes are changed. (1) Gallery > ambiences. Sounds selected there overrides the ones selected as defaults in (2) Settings > system > Look and feel. Then, there's (3) the hardware button... Not sure how it's prioritized, and to what all sounds it affects (at least into playback both on loudspeaker, phone speaker, headphones and bluetooth). (4) is the pulley menu mentioned above, resulting the same as the quick switch in (2)
I'd also suggest some clearance to jolla.com/guide regarding this. Word "sound" is currently found in 23 different locations there, word "ringtone" in 7, and there's nothing about ambience prioritizing there.
