from time to time there are duplicates with more upvotes than the original. i'd suggest to transfer the upvotes / followers to the original question.

i know this request has been there, and is answered, but kind of unsatisfying ... 77642

as all "just upvoters" don't get informed about a closed question, it's necessary to move the upvotes to the correct question, otherwise the statistics are (up to the really very popular ones) pretty useless, as the upvotes are spread over 5-10-...? duplicates

@chemist: if you could be that nice and link the (non-closed) original question

there is also one here: https://together.jolla.com/question/5720/how-to-merge-topics-in-togetherjollacom-community/. So you are right, there is already so much, it gets confusing.

thanks for pointing this out.

so as jolla is one of the main users of this software, and there are some upstream requests, and obviously interest and would be a great benefit in usability, i'd say jolla can't just come up with "well, lets someone else do it", as TJC is pretty messed up and the search too isn't that much of a help.

It's close to a literature study to avoid a duplicate. :)

@dmnk: Just because the original question has been closed doesn't make this less a duplicate... If you're unhappy with the conclusion there, why don't you re-open that question, or edit that question to include new views on the problem you have, instead of being part of the problem by doing yet another duplicate? I really can't follow the thought process here.

I am with @null here, starting a duplicate for merging duplicates just because you do not like the outcome of the original question is yet another duplicate. (You linked the question yourself.)
