sdcard died

It looks like my sdcard died. I don't often remove it from the phone but I regularly have to transfer music from a Mac and that's the quickest way. Since a couple of weeks I was surprised by the size of the music library: so small. When finally I understand that sdcard is no more mounted. I tried to read it on other systems but it is not visible. I'd like to know if I am alone to have such an issue. This is the first time I get a failure with a sdcard. I'm running 1.1.2.16.

You are right that's why I posted this issue here to check if other users have the same issue. Fortunately I didn't have a lot of feedback so I assume the issue is coming from the card. I bought a new one and I will carefully monitor it.

My GoodRam uSDHC U1 Class10 32Gib card just got read only in my Jolla. After half a year in my phone. I cannot format it in Win8, nor in Ubuntu 15.10, nor in my camera, neither in my old Nokia. Data is there, but I cannot change it. Not even can I remove it to have my card returned for warranty.

LVPVS over.

It's more than read only, I can't access neither in read or write mode. Just dead. It is more like this one https://together.jolla.com/question/84359/11216-no-sd-card-present-in-system/

Have you tried to mount it in linux?

@ron282 SD card could die anytime, depends on many things, but trully some unexpected event like power blackout while writing, overvoltage, lowvoltage, could help SD card to die sooner

i used to buy and resell only Kingston and random death is expected for 1/100 cards, some of them failing before they are completely dead other dies in that events, after month or years... i will start worry if new card in jolla die again simillary
