Two times in the last couple of days, my Jolla unexpectedly shutdown and displayed the charging screen (usb cable and power symbol at center of screen) until I restart it by holding the power button for several seconds. Battery was charged both times (80% the first time, 53% the second time) and after restart was again shown at same charge level as before crash, so it does not seem to relate to battery contact issues I have read about elsewhere. The first time I was playing an Android game, second time this occurred during a call.

I had the same issue yesterday, but with 1.1.2.16 I closed the browser by swiping diwn and the phone shutdown to show the charging screen. It rebooted by itself 2 times and after plugging it in I was able to restart it properly. Battery was at 85% when it happend.

Folks, clean up your battery contacts and tighten it up by adding piece of paper etc.

I have suffered these random reboots every now and then since day one. I clean & tighten the battery, no reboots for month or so ... until battery gets loose again and reboots season starts again. Most often reboots are related to activity of the phone e.g when the system try to draw more juice out of battery, the contacts can not provide enough current for peak load and down we go...

my jolla starts random reboots about month after delivery, cleaning of contacts and paper between other side of battery and phone body fixed it forever (two layers of 200g/m2),

well i dont know why jolla picked up such tiny contacs, if you open any other older phone from finland, you can see massive pieces (watching n97 now, and some asha) where contact with baterry is doubled at each pin... and after 6 years of heavy using, falligs etc, never had issue with contacts. (last was on 5100/6100 bodies :p ) in jolla there is something like to power watches. its fine in theory and lab, but not in realworld, im sure that next device from jolla will have no issues like this

for those who doesnt know how correct battery contact should looks like: http://www.gultek.eu/images/D/Nokia%205800%20battery%20connector%20%28300px%29.jpghttp://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/gamerlined66/M2315-2.jpg
