Visual bookmarking feedback >1s gives touch-doubt

I have plenty of browser bookmarks. If I add or remove one the delayed feedback (star fills or hollows) often sees me tap again, doubting the first tap was detected. This cancels the late first tap and is annoying.
Please fix this: run the visual feedback code before the rest of the bookmark toggling code.
Should the bookmark editing process somehow fail then change the star to a caution (!) symbol to show there is a problem requiring intervention.
Instant feedback is tremendously better than late feedback or none.
