If I visit this site on my Jolla phone, it always set the focus on the search field and the keyboard appears. On Android there's a soft button, which hides the keyboard in such cases.

Please create a button or a gesture, to be able to hide the keyboard.

There is such gesture.

You can hide the keyboard by swiping down over it.

The same functionality is already on Harmattan and Nemo (they both use Maliit, like Sailfish).

That doesn't work. Tried in sailfish browser and the notes app. EDIT: ok, now got how to make the gesture (has to start from on the keyboard, and be made slowly enough), apparently takes some practice.

Where are you swiping from? Drag the keyboard down... Here you go http://youtu.be/x6fRWsmyG2I?t=2m2s :)

I think the issue on Jolla is that there's a quite large border (where the word suggestions go) where, if you start your swipe there, this gesture doesn't work.
