Show a Clipboard icon anywhere copy-paste could be used

The Clipboard function is hidden (no icon) when it is not in use.
Please always have a Clipboard icon visible with last-stored file type in cases where it is available even if it is empty. Make an outline indicate an empty clipboard, lines on the icon indicate multiline text, one line indicate a simple single-line string is the last stored item, a relevant picture indicate imagery, audio, multimedia.
This might be considered a distinct question from the one with many, many votes asking for a simple text clipboard.
