It's hard to access pulley menus when content is long. Currently you have to scroll all the way to the top to access the top pulley and to the bottom for the bottom one.

Add own suggestions bellow on how you think this should be implemented or just vote for your favorite.

Also includes a suggestion for accessing the pulley menus from anywhere inside the page.

I would base the interaction on a misunderstanding that I had with the Sailfish OS tutorial.
I thought that they pulley menu would be opened by holding, then pulling, not just pulling.

So why not use that? Whenever you are scrolled further down a page, the pulley indicator loses some of its thickness and gets a little greyer. When you hold your finger anywhere, basically a long-press, the indicator goes back to its normal thickness and color setting.
This change of the indicator is meant to imply that you can now use the pulley as if you were at the top of the page. This way, it also doesn't interfere with other long-press actions, as the pull itself is required as an additional expression of intent.

how would you display context menus for list items?
in order to show them, they must trigger at a long press. but then pulling would navigate the context menu instead of drawing down the pulley

Can you give me an example of the type of list item you are referring to? I'm not very experienced with Sailfish yet.

Take the Documents app as an example. let's assume there are many documents available and the list is scrollable.
now if you long-tap anywhere on that list you will always open the context menu of one particular document.
how would the pulley menu be activated while the context menu is open?
or, vice versa: If long tapping activates the upper pulley edge, how to access the context menu?
