Add support for handling text files (in e.g. Notes/Documents) [released]

The Jolla Documents app should support handling and opening of simple text files with the usual character encodings and language support. It would be ideal if plain text documents could also be edited.

Additionally, consider integrating Notes and Filemanager apps to this to have more feature rich and complete document handling and management experience in Jolla.

Would be great too if it could handle text files with different suffixes like .dat

Yes, regatdles of the the end suffix of the file the question here relates to simple text files consisting of non-formatted or non-markuped text ;)

It should allow the selection of charset encoding (ISO-8859-, UTF-, ...) or at least use one of the unicode sets for a universal availability.

This feature has been implemented with Sailfish OS 3.1.0.x.
