Reply to should not modify "To" if I am the sender original sender
When I go to the "Send" messages folder and hit reply on a message I want it to got to the original recipient by default to just add more information to my own e-mail. i.e. for e-mails that the "From" address is already the accounts e-mail address the "to" field should simply stay unmodified.
What email program does that by default?

JakeTheChangeling ( 2015-05-03 15:36:10 +0200 )editso special treatment for sent folder... I have folders with mail from me including an amount of different sent folders, so do you want emails sent by you treated differently or do you want the folder to be treated differently? I do not see the point in having either as "reply-all" should just do the trick...
chemist ( 2015-05-03 16:13:41 +0200 )edit@chemist: No special treatment for "Sent" please. Just look at the "From" header and if it matches a configured address then use the original "To" address instead of replacing it with the "From" address.
Oh, I use evolution usually, and it does exactly this I think
benzea ( 2015-05-03 17:18:25 +0200 )editNice question initiating me to have a look into MUA's behaviour in general. Always I used 'reply-all' as did not expect any else, as I use it this way with other MUAs (e.g. MSEX-OWA), For example looking closer into Thunderbird. With this MUA it seems depending whether the original mail was sent to one or more recipients. Only if the e-mail was sent to a single recipient a 'reply' on it cause the original as 'To'. If it contain more recipients, or is a fwd'ed e-mail, the behavior is different. In addition it seems to make a different, what MUA has created the e-mail at the 'sent'-folder' if make use of IMAP. Same observations with OpenExchange.
reakolia ( 2015-05-03 17:23:41 +0200 )editIt appeared to me too time consuming to clarify clear condition how a MUA is acting accordingly. It seems to me 'reply-all' as an appropriate way to match all kind of e-mail, whatever MUA in use. Just my two cent.
