I started installation of the update 1.1.4 around 4 hours ago yet it still shows the update screen and there have been no progress during the whole time (empty progress bar). I have not dared to reboot the device but it looks like the update is not going anywhere. Searching around I found this but unfortunately I had not enabled SSH login before updating. https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205601317

What should I do in this situation? (Okay, contacting Jolla via zendesk would probably be wise, but I will note this here anyway)

There is definitely something going wrong (if there is anything going still). I just updated my Jolla and the installation of the update took ~20 minutes here and the phone did reboot and is now working just fine.

As to what to do in your case, I'm at a loss here too. Contacting Jolla customer support may be your only choice here.

I got some sort of the same problem , I got it downloaded (I think) but it did not install (I got a call on the phone :)) now it says the phone is updatet !? but the icon is stuck on the home screen and the jolla store is blocked , it says it is in "upgrade mode" Can I fix it for the command line ?

To fix store being stuck in "upgrade mode" from command line:

rm /home/nemo/.cache/store-client/os-info
pkill store-client

Super, that did the job for the jolla-store and after going thru check for updates the icon disapper too.. thanks @pycage

Also here...

Update went through...now after "Jolla" comes just a black screen! Grrrr

So your update (not only the download) went through? As in, the progress bar went all through to the end? Then it seems to be a bit different to my case, I guess.
