After resetting my Jolla to factory settings, I started system update which couldn't finish successfully. After a couple of reboots, now when choosing "Reset device to factory settings" I get the error message as in subject. Jolla boots fine but all I can see is logo for a while and then the screen is always black.

What can I do to get it back to normal?

Thank you.

Did you follow the Reset procedure which includes coping the latest recovery-menu (>v0.2.7) from download/sd-card via shell option? https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204709607#32

Not yet, going to buy sd card first, I don't have any. I will buy one and try today and see if it works. Thank you for helping.

I get the same error message :-( I successfully copy the file to /usr/bin but when I then exit and select option 1, the error message is the same.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you.

hmm, had the same error message when early testing 1.1.2. but could successfully get around it only by following the instructions and deploy a recent recovery-menu fitting to the firmware. Sorry to hear that did not work for you. Have you contacted jolla care? They did respond within 24h in two cases i had questions and helped me fix things. What is the reason for you wanting to reset in the first place? Failed system update to

Yeah, i did. They said me to repeat it for 7-8 times, but I'm nearly sure it won't do anything. But I'll try
