jolla sells in the EU, bulgaria ist part of the EU, so the language should officially supported!

i know there is a patch for bulgarian keyboard, but there are some problems with that! i think jolla should support a whole localization (all menus in bulgarian) and the standard traditional phonetic keyboard (maybe even the standard layout). i think this is especially important for jolla to become mainstream and not just sth for tech-savvy users.

I would like to ask if there is an app for bulgarian language input keyboard. I don't mind if the menu is in English but it would be very helpfull to have the ability to write in my language.

on openrepos there is the warehouse app. from there you can install the bg keyboard

that's a phonetic keyboard and I don't like that. In such case I could use the preloaded russian keyboard. If bulgarian - then the real thing, please

@Dragomir well ... i was responding to @psavov who didnt specify which kind of bg keyboard. and since i and ALL bulgarians i know (old and young) use the phonetic layout as well i just went ahead with that.

anyway, unfortunately for you the standard bg layout doesnt seem to be available anywhere

oh, bulgarian is supported by the community. its just not officially available. which is also discussed in the thread you linked (in a general way)

Not just Bulgarian, also Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Greek and Hungarian. They're fully finished on Pootle, usually before the officially supported languages are (right now e.g. French still isn't completely finished). In fact, I'd say it makes more sense to officially support those before Bulgarian, because Bulgarian is only 27% complete. Best complete the translation first, then ask for it to be part of the basic package. The keyboard layout should definitely be supported regardless of the translation status, though.

i agree. this thread was originally meant as a request, before they introduced the community translations and all that. but now its just like a thing to keep track of. not really meant as a complaint or anything.... im just waiting to close it haha
