i'm looking for working version of kodi/xbmc aps for our Jolla. Any one tested android version? Specialy for plugins - streaming tv/ movies etc.

There is a native port of kodi now. See openrepos.

Well i tried installing kodi helix under the Alien Dalvik. It works as it should, not much more to tell.

Of course, a native Sailfish one would be much better. But the kodi UI is actually a little to small for that kind of screen. The back button thing also takes up some of the valuable screen estate.

how about plugins?

sure, they seem to work as they do with any desktop version. Themes work too. Be aware it is.rather battery eating, so you might as well be on.charger. kodi on android is however developed in native arm so it must be rather efficient.

But here's my solution: I use sailfishnet to mount samba shares in my home network. And if i'm.external to home I can even mount and stream using sshfs.

The video.player I use is LLs vPlayer, it works surprisingly well, only thing I lack is ability to browse for subtitles. Don't forget to install all needed codecs.

Here it is, still called "xbmc remote" renamed from "rouri xbmc" but working with only few bugs. One is that entering letter e in onscreen-keyboard is wrongly assigned. https://openrepos.net/content/robertme/xbmcremote

Not working for me recently (can not login to my pw secured kodi), but already renamed to Kodimote https://openrepos.net/content/robertme/kodimote

I payed for the full version of Androids Yatse, which is available in many markets. Hope a native app will one day be superior to yatse ;)

I use Yatse's free version from Aptoide app store with my OpenELEC htpc and I'm quite happy with it. Be warned though, the latest version there (5.1.0.0) needs Amazon's app store for some reason, so I reverted back to an earlier version which doesn't have those dependencies (5.1.0).

edit: checked the version numbers
