Visual grouping of icons?
Imagine that each app icon could be placed in one of nine different positions inside an imaginary box. What we see on our sailfish systems right now would be the center placement, but there would be eight new possibilites too. The icon itself is much larger than just a ninth of a square so the placement options would be more like offsets. Slightly further down to the right, as an example, or to the left. ...or up a bit.
With this option it would be possible to move certain icons closer to eachother to form groups of icons. ...hopefully to make apps even easier to find.
To sum things up the icons would simply be allowed to lean closer to eachother.
Now that would look odd indeed!
Not a bad idea
