Clipboard in address book doesn't seem to work [duplicate]
I have to be missing something, but for the life of me I can't figure out for the life of me how this should work.
I've just received an email from a colleague. I want to create a new contact from this email, so I swipe to bring up the details, then long press on the email address to bring up a "contact" and then pull down to select "Add". This brings up the address book entry for the pending contact.
I then want to copy their email address to save me typing their long surname, so I tap to edit the email field (why are these values hidden by default?) and then tap to edit the text and then long tap to select the text I want.
Except I can't now copy.
If I have something on the clipboard I can paste it in, but I can't copy. If I tap the clipboard icon, it pastes over my text. If I long tap to clear the clipboard, it goes (and so does the icon), but the value comes back as soon as I tap away and come back, so it clearly never cleared at all. As the icon has vanished, I can't copy as I'm fairly certain I have to tap it with an empty clipboard to copy.
What am I missing here?
