Ok, we will have a more awesome OS and that's great. But does it mean that their will be no more TOH from Jolla ?
Does it mean that this concept is abandoned ?
Will Jolla impose this concept to their manufacturers partners ?
Will their be this cool logo (Jolla's one) on partners devices ?
What about the updates on the partners devices ? On Android devices, system is usually not up to date because it remains to manufacturers.

I'm ok with a new strategy, I just wonder about consequences and I hope Jolla will communicate on it here.

Logo: Why should a Jolla logo be on non-Jolla hardware? That be like Samsung printing Google on the back of their devices... For the system upgrades: SailfishOS is hardware independent in general, so all upgrades will go to all devices - sure, devices without a certain hardware feature won't get hardware dependent features.

The Nexus phones are just phones by Google for Google. They are just manufactured by other companies because Google doesn't have the required factories and supply chain setup... Just like the Nokia N1 actually. So yeah, that would still be crazy stuff to force Samsung (and other manufacturers) to print Google on their Android devices.

Is this answer to be treated as an official jolla statement? Or will the provision of system updates be in the hands of hardware vendors - same as with android?

@moosiqpipl I am notspeaking for Jolla, but that SFOS is hardware independent is a fact also stated by Jolla on several occasions, if and how vendor-upgrades will take place is actually not been addressed directly, that statement is at least the answer we got so far when asked about upgrades for future SFOS devices.
