Here I am with the same problem as before, with a massive battery drain since the penultimate upgrade.

Situation:

  • No new app installed since 2 Updates ago
  • Phone in the same place as before (home then travel by car to office)
  • Automatic e-mail check every 30min
  • 3G and data carrier on
  • Whatsapp open with some received messages and sendend messages (don't know how many but same usage as before)
  • Any other phone setting is exactly the same as before (vibration, lcd settings and so on)

Before this upgrade 1.1.6 (and before the penultimate one): 2.5/3% per hour

Now: 10/11% per hour.

At 7.15 i've disconnected the phone (100%charge) and went to office, now 13.15 the phone is at 39%

My hope was to solve this problem with the new Upgrade but seems nothing is going better.

Massive battery drain is most likely related to battery contacts etc.

You're right, but i've clean contacts as soon as I've started to notice this high consumption at the time of the penultimate Upgrade but nothing changed. I'm going to clean contacts again but..

Try the solution that care suggested (link somewhere in the battery thread) along with the cleaning.

I'm having a similar experience. Disabling my Exchange account seems to help.

Same here, nothing changed other then update...

Battery contacts can be rules out since Jolla already installed the battery cushion.

I also had this issue, even random reboots when I connected to 3G, but I fixed it cleaning the battery contacts.

After 5 hours of moderate usage the battery went from 100% to 15%!!!!!!!!

Same question to you then Kollin: Have you done a factory reset since the last two updates? (I haven't, and I have the problem on my phone, sounds like the same drain speed), I had to make a factory reset on my wifes after a half-assed upgrade, and now her phone is acceptable, battery wise).

@Larswad My phone was flashed before previews update(1.1.4), but not before last one(1.1.6). ;)
