When I scroll through my gallery it's annoying to always scroll back before I can take another picture. So my request is this: add a new gesture (swipe down) to close gallery and instantly go back to camera controls.

Some more request for easy controls and photo features of the camera app you may want to check: https://together.jolla.com/question/1868/suggestion-simplify-photo-menu/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/7954/show-date-and-time-of-photos-in-gallery/

Many thanks.

edit: changed headline from old "gallery view", new "quick view"

yes, some Back to camera button/pulley should be implemented. now if you are far away from last captured image it is better to close camera app by gesture and start new camera instance

Actually you are not exactly in the Gallery, but in the "quick view" of the camera app ;)

Anyway, what you want is already possible: Click on the image, and swipe the sharing menu to the left, as explained in this topic: https://together.jolla.com/question/27807/getting-back-to-camera-screen-when-viewing-taken-pictures/
