I found an interesting product Yepzon for tracking purposes. It requests NFC to communicate with the device. Would it be possible to utilize TOH NFC to connect the device to my Jolla smartphone? http://yepzon.com/

As the build-in NFC is intended to be used only with the TOHs the range is limited to a few millimeters and the NFC hardware is also additionally only triggered for a few seconds after the microswitch has been pressed. So it is not possible to use other hardware to communicate with your Jolla through NFC (unless building a NFC-TOH).

Actually I am pretty sure the activation of NFC hardware on TOH insert interrupt is SW driven, so replacing tohd would allow using NFC for a bit longer time. And regarding the only-millimeter-range would be no problem if you can get the NFC device close enough.
