Upon trying to attach "documents" or "music" to an email, the device tells me I have none. I have several files in both of these categories. Yet the "pictures" and "videos" options show everything in my gallery and allow to attach. I needed the feature for the first time, so I dont know if this problem came with the latest update or not. Naturally, refreshing media and other common solutions have not worked.

Just checked, yes, I have the same problem. In my case music, videos & pics are ok, but email app can't see documents. Obviously a bug, as I have lots of documents (word, excel & pdf), most of them had been downloaded as email attachments.

Odd, I just checked and tried to compose an e-mail and everything works fine:

  • Documents
  • Pictures
  • Music
  • Videos

I can attach everything.

@raketti I believe the problem is with where the documents are stored. You may save your docs on Documents folder for good housekeeping but most of us rely on email account storage in Downloads/Mail_Attachments. Tracker indexes these files and shares the list with apps. Email only looks in those folders you listed and subfolders in Documents. Maybe if there was a folder shortcut in Documents to Mail_Attachments then documents in subfolders might be found. FileCase a way to search and copy/cut to Documents folder.
