Is there any reason why SMS messages sent to multiple recipients still cause problems when the first person on the list replies?
This problem was first listed on here in December 2013 and the bug remains, despite this month's update.
If I send an SMS message to Tom and Dick, then get a reply from Tom, that reply is filed in the the Tom/Dick conversation (but only labelled as Tom's conversation, but with the white square box next to it, indicating other recipients). If I then reply to Tom's reply, Tom and Dick both get a copy. If I swipe to the side on this conversation I can see the message is going to Tom and Dick. However, no incoming replies should ever get filed in this conversation, yet they still do. It isn't clear from the front conversation screen who the recipients are. Tom (+1) could be indicated, or Tom/Dick (+ others), depending on room, or a scrolling list could be used to improve things.
The problem comes when the user inadvertently replies to an incoming message and it is effectively broadcast to everyone who got the original message.
The question was first raised here https://together.jolla.com/question/7973/sms-sending-to-multiple-recipients-problems-with-delivery-reports-and-received-replies/ but although I've added a comment the thread doesn't seem to have been refreshed with today's date, hence this new post.
